HSI-12 Solid Insulation Ring Main Unit

HSI-12 solid insulated switchgear is a new generation of ring network equipment launched according to the new product and technology planning of the State Grid. It is mainly used to replace traditional SF6 gas insulated switchgear and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It belongs to a new generation of environmentally friendly switchgear. Its unique patented design enables it to meet the safety requirements of replacing SF6 gas insulated switchgear in terms of appearance and size, and its electrical performance is stable and reliable. The inside of the switch is isolated from the external atmosphere, effectively eliminating equipment failures caused by condensation. Under necessary conditions of use, the inside of the switch can be filled with N2 or other environmentally friendly gases to further improve the electrical insulation performance and better meet the use requirements of high-altitude areas. It can also be widely used in various types of switchgear and cable branch boxes.

  • Usage environment

    Normal use environment conditions


    The maximum ambient air temperature shall not exceed 40℃, and the average value measured within 24h shall not exceed 35℃, and the minimum shall not be lower than 15℃; the altitude shall not exceed 3000m;

    Relative humidity: daily average value shall not exceed 95%, and monthly average value shall not exceed 9096.

    Water vapor pressure: daily average value shall not exceed 2.2kPa, and monthly average value shall not exceed 1.8kPa.

    The surrounding air is not obviously polluted by dust, smoke, corrosive and/or flammable gases, steam or salt spray.


    Special use conditions

    When the switch cabinet is installed in an area with an altitude higher than 3000m, the ordering party shall negotiate the factory conditions (confirmation of altitude correction coefficient) with the manufacturer and request the relevant factory inspection report.

    When the maximum ambient temperature exceeds 40℃C, the rated current carrying capacity of the switch cabinet must be reconfirmed by the manufacturer when ordering.

Structural characteristics

Compared with the commonly used ring main unit, the AS type ring main unit has a three-position isolating switch that can be quickly grounded, with intuitive status, simple operation, and safe and reliable operation.

The basic structure of the HS type solid insulation ring main unit is shown in the figure (taking the circuit breaker cabinet as an example, please ask the manufacturer for other solutions)
