When AC asynchronous motors are started at rated voltage, the initial starting current is very large, often many times more than the rated current (generally 5 to 7 times). In order to reduce the starting current and not affect the power grid, AC asynchronous motors are usually started by reducing the voltage. The commonly used voltage reduction method is to use a reactor or autotransformer. The starting process of the AC motor is very short (generally a few seconds to two minutes). After starting, the reactor or autotransformer used for voltage reduction starting is removed. Its structural features are as follows:
△ The core is made of high-quality silicon steel sheets, and the core column is divided into uniform small sections through multiple air gaps. The air gap is isolated by epoxy board, and high-temperature and high-strength adhesive is used to ensure that the air gap does not change when the reactor is running.
△ The end face of the core is made of high-quality silicon steel sheet end face glue, which makes the silicon steel sheets firmly combined together, greatly reducing the noise during operation, and has good corrosion resistance.
△ The coil is wrapped structure, and the main insulation of the coil is made of glass fiber impregnated with epoxy resin. After heat curing, it is dipped in high-temperature resistant insulating varnish under vacuum. The coil not only has good insulation performance, but also has high mechanical strength. It can withstand the large current shock and hot and cold shock when the motor starts without cracking.
